Riding a bike, for many people, may not seem adventurous. I bought my first road bike to commute to work and stay fit, and the joy of riding gripped me instantly. Exploring places by bike is a fresh way to connect with your surroundings. Rides can be pretty relaxed on flat, short routes, or you can feel the burn exploring more challenging, steeper routes. The pain is worth the reward though, as the satisfaction of riding up a hill and appreciating the views, conquered by your own leg power!
Qualifications and Remit
I am a British Cycling qualified Level 2 Ride Leader, which means I can lead groups on rides over 50 miles (though not all rides will even be that far…) into more remote environments and over challenging terrain. This course covered group etiquette, advanced communication, group leadership on longer rides, decision making and advanced risk management. You can be sure that you’re in safe hands to go out and explore by road!
Packages
Local Tiered Rides – Individual – FREE
For anyone in Lincolnshire, I am happy to take groups of up to 4 for Relaxed, Challenging or Extreme rides. With Lincolnshire being relatively flat, the tiers are determined by both elevation gain and distance. We’ll have a consultation beforehand to see how much time you want to allocate to the ride and what your current fitness levels are. I’ll complete the risk assessments and we’ll taper the ride to fulfil your needs.
Peak District Lead Ride – Price on Request
Fancy something a bit more adventurous? Whether you’re on your own or a group, I can take you on some challenging rides up the hills of the Peak District. We’ll have an initial consultation to gauge fitness levels and what you want from the experience, before I put together a plan for the day of your choosing. I will complete all risk assessments and provide you with a kit list for maximum enjoyment on the day!
