Believe me when I say, hiking is probably my most favourite activity to take part in. Though it may be one of the least ‘adrenaline-filled’ activities I take part in, being out in amongst nature is such a great experience. No two hikes are the same; whether it’s a bimble through a woodland or a trek up a Wainwright, there’s always so much to see, smell and hear!
Similarly to Climbing I carry out my hiking awards through the Mountain Training Association’s schemes. They provide great assurance and their examiners really know their stuff! They’re experts for a reason!

Tiered Hikes – FREE
Take all the stress out of the planning element of a hike and leave it to me. Unless of course you want to get involved! We’ll be acting as equals out in the hills, though I will explain through the planning my level of experience and remit for leading certain elements of the day.
The tier aspect depends on what you want from your hike; I offer three levels of Easy, Intermediate and Advanced.
Easy – usually less than 3 hours in length and mostly flat. These can be tailored to anyone depending on your own desire, so get in touch to discuss potential routes. Due to the shorter duration, these can only currently be offered in either Lincolnshire or Bristol.
Intermediate – between 3 and 5 hours in length and beginning to take in some elevation. Typical areas include the Yorkshire Moors and Peak District, therefore some level of fitness will be expected to cope with the inclines.
Advanced – heading up into the mountains for hikes over 5 hours in duration. Typical areas include but are not limited to the Lake District, Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia. May even travel to the Scottish Highlands if there is interest. These days will be long and challenging both physically and mentally. Previous participation in an Intermediate hike is highly desirable.
